Why the WITCH Theme? My brand BWitched has a witch theme to it and you might be wondering why I chose that name. It's somewhat childish, isn't it? Not really professional, you say? lET'S hAVE mORE fUN iN oUR lIVES Hm, I think we all need to have more fun in our lives, both professional and personal. :) The business world has become way too serious and boring with too many restrictions and norms. There is not much room for creativity and play. Commuting to and sitting in an office from 9-5 (or usually longer) doesn't necessarily lead to more productivity, but still this is what most people do day in and day out. I have decided to do things differently. After 16 years in the corporate world, I had enough. Yes, I am (still) professional (I deeply care about my clients and their success and I am doing everything I can to meet and over-achieve on their expectations), but I want to have more fun along the way. I am now working from home and have the freedom to do what I want and when I want (at least sometime ;)). I have the flexibility to do the things I love without a boss or colleagues watching over me. I believe that as long as someone delivers it doesn't matter where they are, when or how long they work. The most important thing is that the work gets done well and on time. witches aRE sTRONG aND wISE wOMEN Back to witches. I admire them. I have always loved to read stories about witches (the white and the black witches) and I love them for being themselves. For being honest and strong women who defend the ones who can't fend for themselves. Witches are creative, concocting the right potions to heal ailments. Witches are smart and wise beyond their years. They listen to their ancestors (heard of the Book of Shadows?), but also trust their inner voice. They follow their own wisdom because they know what they want better than anyone else. Witches are independent, resilient and self-sufficient, but they also work and live within their communities collaborating and sharing their expertise and knowledge. I could go on and on. Witches are strong and wise women who achieve what they want. chANNEL yOUR iNNER wiTCH - wHAT dOES iT mEAN? I believe that we all can achieve what we set our mind towards. With passion and dedication everything is possible. Channeling your inner witch will get you there. Look at your inner witch as your inner mentor. We all have that voice in us. Your inner witch has all the skills I mentioned above. Your inner witch is the voice to listen to when you are stuck, are unsure or just need that little bit of extra encouragement to take the next step. And she helps you to have fun doing it. Yes, we all have fear at some point and changing things up is scary (I am with you here: I quit my corporate job and moved to a different city), but moving out of your comfort zone will get you so much more than staying within your comfort zone. Yes, you will dread it, but once you have stepped over the line, you'll be rewarded. Visualize Your Inner Witch There is a beautiful meditation that Tara Mohr has shared as part of her Playing Big course that helps you visualize your inner mentor (or also called future self in the coaching world). For me it is my inner witch, but no matter how we want to call her, she is there for you, anytime you need her. If you want to listen to the visualization and experience it for yourself, head over to Tara Mohr's website and listen to the recording. What do you think? What does your inner witch look like, how is she different from your current self? Can you related to the witch image at all? Comment below or email me! I am looking forward to hearing from you.
